2024 Theme: 30 Years of Rootin’ & Tootin’

Main Street will be lined in red, white and blue patrons as we celebrate our freedom in a united setting of appreciation and respect for our our country and those who serve to protect it.

Businesses and Organizations throughout Hays and surrounding communities will cruise, walk and rumble down Main Street with their hot rods, horses and "hogs" adorned in stars and stripes. Children and children-at-heart will enjoy the generous treats and toys handed out by the parade entries as they make their way from 15th & Main south to 5th & Main.

Celebrate with us on Main Street in Downtown Hays, July 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

The Hays Police Department’s Policy on candy and parades is as follows: Each parade participant wanting to hand out candy to the children watching the parade, MUST have someone WALKING along the left and right sides of the parade float/vehicle, handing the items directly to the children.  NO LONGER can any candy or parade items be thrown into the street.  This enforcement comes as it is very dangerous to have children rushing into the street, with vehicles coming along the way.  If you do not follow these rules, an HPD officer has the authority to ask you to leave the parade immediately.

Please note that general information and rules are subject to change. Each entrant will be notified of any changes.
